Welcome to Class 3b:

wether, over 1 YEARs old

These nine boys are currently used for a variety of non-breeding purposes around their various holdings. When adult, wethers make ideal pack and harness goats and are perfect for TV and film work as they are easier to train than females. Adult wethers are often found conservation grazing where breeding is not required (or desired). Some are simply kept as much-loved pets, making themselves useful by eating weeds, trimming hedges and helping to dispose of surplus vegetables, and giving much pleasure in today’s frenetic world.

Wethers slaughtered at 2 years old do also provide the best return for meat versus inputs, complete with the flavour that more mature goat offers over kid.
